Programs
2025-2026 Academic Year
FPNS has designed a mixed-age program for children aged 2 to first grade. Children do not need to be potty trained.
Program: 9:00am - 12:00pm
Option 1) 5 days/week (Monday - Friday)
Option 2) 3 days/week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
Option 3) 2 days/week (Tuesday & Thursday)
To secure enrollment at the start of the academic year, children need to have turned 2 by September 1st of the enrolling year. In the vein of being a co-op, we require once a week participation from a parent or family member for each child, no matter which program you choose. This can be a parent, grandparent, nanny, or any other family member.
Program overview: Teachers begin the day by welcoming all students and offering free play, age-appropriate activities. Our circle time and story time offer opportunities for children to further develop social, and literacy skills as well as body awareness. The children engage in indoor and outdoor free play and small group activities. Teachers and parents plan activities using open-ended materials to encourage children to be creative and problem solve. It's an amazing feeling to know that you have an entire community of parents working to help your child grow and develop to their full potential! At the end of the day the teacher brings the children back together for a closing circle and a goodbye song.
Example Schedule:
8:45 - Working parents arrive
9:00-9:15 - Children arrive, free play
9:15-9:30 - Opening circle and welcome song
9:30-11:45 - Rotating activities and PLAY
11:45-12:00 - Closing circle and goodbye song
12:00 - Parents arrive for dismissal
12:00-12:10 - Working parents debrief and finish closing duties
