12:00-12:30 - Lunch (brought from home) and socializing with peers
12:30 - 1:20 - Small Group Activities and Kindergarten Prep 
1:20-1:30 Circle
1:30-1:50 Large Group Activity and/or Outside Time
1:50-2:00 Review and Pick-up Time

 Afternoon  Pre-K Enrichment ( 12-2pm Monday AND Fridays)

• This is part 2 of the Pre-K Program and is a "drop-off" class  that begins with lunch at 12 to 12:30pm,  and pick-up at 2 pm. (parents do not need to work in the classroom during Enrichment). 

Research studies  on the mixed age educational  model describe a concern that older students do not receive as much of a challenge than they would if they were in a classroom with children their own age. It is for this reason that  the FPNS Pre-K Program is a 2 unit program, combining Mixed-age Morning Program and Afternoon Enrichment. (newly registered students must turn 4 years by September 1 of the school year)
