Fremont Parent’s Nursery School is currently seeking a Teacher /Director for its Tues. and Thurs. morning, two year old class. Fremont Parent’s Nursery School is a private non-profit parent participation preschool program serving the tri-cities of Fremont, Newark and Union City. Fremont Parent’s Nursery School is a play-based and developmental program, emphasizing the whole child philosophy. Fremont Parent’s Nursery School is unique in its emphasis on parent involvement and parent education.

The ideal candidate would have excellent communication, organization and management skills. Prospective candidates must have a minimum of 12 ECE units, plus 3 units in administration and 4 years preschool teaching experience or Director or Site supervisor Permit issued by the Department of Teacher Credentialing. Experience in a parent cooperative program and teaching parent education is preferred. Paid hours are 4.75 ( 2.5 class, .5 for prep and .25 for closing) on Tuesday and Thursday mornings; one evening (3 hours, 2 hours of class, 1 for prep.) parent education class per month, 9 hours of paid staff meetings per year and 5 misc. hours by arrangement. In addition, we offer two days of paid time off, 18 paid holidays and the option to have two paid days off to attend professional development opportunities. Our salary is competitive.
